Week 2: Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. (February 7, 2022) – Evens Edouard (Edward Waters) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Joelvi Jimenez (Edward Waters) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Kenyon Haynes (Edward Waters) was also tabbed Setter of the Week.
OFFENSIVE – Evens Edouard, Freshman, Opposite Hitter, Edward Waters
Edouard totaled 41 kills and 15 digs in this past week’s trio of games. His best performance came at St. Andrews where he tallied 17 kills and added two service aces.
DEFENSIVE – Joelvie Jimenez, Freshman, Middle Blocker, Edward Waters
In three matches last week, Jimenez totaled eight digs, nine block assists, and one solo block.
SETTER – Kenyon Haynes, Freshman ,Setter, Edward Waters
Haynes had a combined 66 assists in three matches last week, to go along with 12 digs and four kills. Haynes had an impressive performance against St. Andrews where he racked up 27 assists.
